Kayla Carter Obituary, Death Eden, NC – The community is mourning the untimely loss of 24-year-old Kayla Nicole Carter, who passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, following a tragic car accident. The sudden incident has left her family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken. Born on August 25, 2000, in Eden, Kayla was known for her vibrant spirit and caring nature. She worked as a bartender and waitress at Outback Steakhouse in Danville, Virginia, where she was appreciated by both coworkers and customers for her warmth and friendly personality.

Kayla is remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. Her parents, Randy Taylor Snody and Jennifer Slaughter Snody, described her as their “Pumpkin” and “Sunshine.” She is survived by a large and loving family, including many siblings, grandparents, great-grandparents, and extended relatives. A funeral service for Kayla will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Burial will follow at Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ridgeway, Virginia. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., prior to the service.

Kayla’s passing has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew her. Friends and family are encouraged to come together in remembrance, to share memories, and to support one another during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Boone & Cooke Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
